come from a word meaning "they keep together"
 
in the language of their Wichita neighbors, but
 
this isn't certain. The Tonkawa Tribe is
 
headquartered in
 
Tonkawa, Oklahoma.

They have 571 enrolled tribal members. The
 
tribe operates one gasoline station and two
 
casino.
